Open Configure on Custom Order Statuses to edit two lists: your custom statuses, and optional new labels for WooCommerce’s built-in statuses.

Custom statuses

Each custom status has:

  • Slug — stored as WooCommerce status wc-{slug}
  • Label — what staff see in the orders list
  • Colour — used in the orders list (default #787c82 if empty)

After you save, the status appears in:

  • The orders list (classic and HPOS screens)
  • Bulk actions on those screens
  • Order emails that WooCommerce sends for that status, when WooCommerce supports it

Renaming built-in statuses

Use the built-in labels map to change display names for core statuses (processing, completed, and so on) without changing their slugs. Other plugins that key off wc-processing keep working.
